Experiments about R22 substitution.

Author(s) : APREA C., DE ROSSI F., GRECO A.

Summary

R407C, a blend of R32, R125 and R134a (23, 25, 52 weight percent, respectively), has been proposed as the most plausible R22 drop-in substitute. R407C is a zeotropic refrigerant blend with a significant glide of about 7 deg C. Its compatibility with plant materials is good, except for the usual lubricating oils. Indeed, with R407C polyester oils must be adopted. An exergy analysis is presented.
