Flammable refrigerants in household refrigerators.
Author(s) : JURGENSEN H.
Summary
The application of hydrocarbons to German appliances has had a significant impact on energy efficiency. The assessment in this presentation is that refrigerator/freezer energy consumption increases due to the implementation of hydrocarbons. Eventually, equivalent energy usage to R134a may occur as hydrocarbon type compressors are developed.
