Summary
Because the red bay berry is harvested during the main rainy season and senesces rapidly after harvest, it is very difficult to store and transport. The authors have studied the effect of preserving methods such as temperature control, modified atmosphere packaging, coating and calcium treatment, dehydration and heat treatment, which can improve the preservation of red bay berry.
