Author(s) : BUTLER D. J. G.
Summary
First, the paper summarises European regulations concerning the CFC ban, and the imminent ban on HCFCs. The new HFCs also have a high global warming potential and the new UK policy is that more environmentally acceptable alternatives, such as ammonia or hydrocarbons, be used as often as possible.
