Summary

In this study on fruits harvested in Mendoza, Argentina, the optimum harvest date was when the following parameters were attained: weight 89 g; calibre: 55 mm; weight/calibre: higher than 1.6 g/mm; pressure: 6.7 kgf; soluble solids: 9.5 °Brix; acidity (in citric acid): 0.6 g%g; sugar/acidity: 16; superficial colour: at least 30% intense red; ground colour; not more than 25% yellowish green. Storage at 0 °C and 95% RH for 21 days (see also IIR Bulletin, ref. 1996-0986).
