Summary
The biochemical and nutritional characteristics, the ripening times and the modes of harvesting of each small fruit are described and discussed. The physiological and infectious diseases are described and illustrated with colour pictures, as well as the injuries from freezing, cold and senescence. Post-harvest technology is discussed for each small fruit, and the best solutions are pointed out. A.P.
