Numerical simulation of passenger air-conditioned compartment air flow and heat transfer conjugated with car body.

Summary

A steady-state model is established to simulate the 3D air flow inside the air-conditioned passenger compartment and calculate the heat transfer of air in conjunction with the car body. The k-epsilon mode with wall function is introduced. Solar rays through windows are traced using the Monte-Carlo technique. Block correction is utilized to solve the temperature equation. The convergence rate is optimized. Environment-simulation experiments are carried out to verify the numerical results.
