Summary
A performance evaluation of a newly developed blend of HFCs and HCFCs, as a substitute for R12, R502 and R22, is presented. The blend's performance was evaluated using water-air, air-air and water-water heat pumps, as well as a household refrigerator. The test results showed that the blend is not only environmentally sound, but also enhances the performance by 7 to 30%, depending upon the application.
