Performance of residential refrigerators with ternary blends.
Author(s) : SAMI S. M., TULEJ P. J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Comparative performance studies of ternary blends proposed as substitutes for R12 are presented in the study. The experimental set-up includes a domestic refrigerator for evaluation of blend performance. Experimental data show that the ternary R12-based blend consumed 35% less energy than R12, and exhibits shorter cycles at comparable pressure ratios than R12.
