ASPARAGUS COOLING AT 1.6 DEG C, BEFORE STORAGE, MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO REDUCE LOSSES BY MORE THAN 20 %. ASPARAGUS WHICH ARE STORED UNDER A MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE HAVE BETTER CHARACTERISTICS OF COLOUR, TEXTURE AND FRESHNESS, AND REDUCED LOSSES.
