Propane as refrigerant in commercial refrigerating: an example in practice.
Author(s) : NIELSEN O. R., SCHREIBER J.
Summary
The hydrocarbons or HC refrigerants, especially propane (R290) and isobutane (R600a) have thermodynamics characteristics that make them suitable as alternatives to R12 and R22. The objectives of the Danish project is to establish knowledge (both practical and in respect of legislation) so that applications using HC refrigerants is possible in a safe way. The project includes a conversion of an existing R22 plant into R290.
