R32: a candidate to replace ammonia also.
[In Danish. / En danois.]
Author(s) : MOORE D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The HFC refrigerant R32 has been developed primarily for use in blends with R134a and R125 as a substitute for R502 and R22 in supermarket or similar installations. It is not suitable in these applications for use alone as it is flammable. However, R32 has properties in many ways similar to ammonia. The author suggests it might well be investigated as a possible alternative to ammonia in certain situations. D.W.H.
