R717 high pressure heat pump: application for food refrigeration systems.

Author(s) : KRISTENSEN A. P. R.

Summary

Many farm-produce industries need refrigeration and heat. It is often possible to supply heat by using refrigerating plant condensers, which can be brought to a higher temperature with an additional compression stage. The article mentions the case of two plants of this type, one of them in a poultry abattoir and the other in an ice cream factory. The advantages of ammonia are discussed.
