Summary

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT TO STUDY THE POSSIBILITY TO TRANSPORT PARTIALLY CHILLED PORK CARCASSES. IT APPEARED TO BE FEASIBLE IF SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS ARE FULF THE BACTERIOLOGICAL CONDITION OF THE MEAT IS NOT NEGATIVELY AFFECTED. THE DUTCH REGULATIONS HAVE BEEN ADAPTED ON THIS POINT. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE, THE TRANSPORT VEHICLE AND THE STORAGE ROOM OF THE RECEIVER ARE DESCRIBED. AN EXPLANATION IS GIVEN AND IT IS INDICATED HOW TO GET AN APPROVAL FOR THE CHILLING PROCEDURE TO BE USED.
