Several prospective R22 and R502 alternatives for unitary air-conditioners and refrigeration equipment.

Author(s) : ZHU M. S., LI J.

Summary

Thirteen pure compounds: R23, R32, R125, R134, R134a, R143, R143a, R152a, R290, R218, RC270, RC318, E134, and their binary mixtures were studied in a search for R22 and R502 alternatives. The differences between the thermal performances of cycle using the pure refrigerants and the refrigerant mixtures are presented, along with the effect of the interaction coefficient in blend mixtures on cycle performances.
