Summary

The design of the apparatus which is described is well adapted to measurements on compounds pertaining to the refrigerant class. Density measurements of compressed phases as well as phase equilibrium measurements have been performed on potential substitutes for CFCs; e.g., R32 and R218. Tests were done by measuring a few vapour-liquid-equilibrium data for propane-n-pentane and CO2-n-pentane mixtures.
