Summary

THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS FREEZING RATES AND 10% DMSO ON BINDING OF NORADRENALINE IN PLASMA MEMBRANES WAS STUDIED. IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT 10% DMSO INHIBITS MARKEDLY THE BINDING OF THE GLAND TO ADRENAL RECEPTORS. SLOW FREEZING WITH 10% DMSO INCREASES HORMONE BINDING BUT INSIGNIFICANTLY. RAPID AND SLOW FREEZING WITHOUT CRYOPROTECTANTS EXERTED AN EFFECT OF DIFFERENT DIRECTION ON THE PROCESS STUDIED.
