SPICES, DRIED OR FROZEN MUSHROOMS AND FIGS ARE VERY OFTEN LIABLE TO FUNGAL CONTAMINATION: YEASTS (FROM 100 TO 650,000/G) AND MOULDS (FROM 200 TO 800,000/G). THE PROBLEM ARISES FROM CONTAMINATION OF TURKISH FIGS BY B AND G AFLATOXINS. THE QUANTITIES MEASURED ARE UP TO 5,000 TIMES GREATER THAN THE AUTHORIZED LEVEL. (Bibliogr. int.
