THE WORLD PRODUCTION OF FISH AND SHELLFISH CONTINUES TO INCREASE BECAUSE OF DEMAND. THE AUTHOR BELIEVES THAT PRODUCTION FROM COMMERCIAL HARVESTING HAS LEVELLED OFF. SIGNIFICANT INCREASES WILL HAVE TO COME FROM AQUACULTURE. THE UNITED STATES IS ONE OF THE LARGEST CONSUMERS ALSO ONE OF THE LARGEST EXPORTERS OF SEA FOOD PRODUCTS. C.R.F.
