Summary

The present status of research on transport properties, and the physico-chemical properties of pure HFC refrigerants and their mixtures, like R410A, R404A and R407C, is reviewed. A brief discussion is given to the influence of the content of non-flammable HFCs such as R125, R134a, and R23, in flammable/inert HFC mixtures on the transport properties, dielectric strength, flammability and ignitability. More precise measurements of HFC mixtures are still needed to establish the most probable values of these properties.
