Transport properties of refrigerants: theory, measurements and correlations.

Author(s) : VESOVIC V.

Summary

The paper briefly reviews the status of theory, measurements and correlations of transport properties of alternative refrigerants. An illustration of the available experimental data and their mutual inconsistency is presented and discussed. Methods of developing viscosity and thermal-conductivity correlations are highlighted. The emphasis is on the methods that make use of the best available experimental data selected on the basis of critical analysis of the measurement techniques and with guidance from theory. The transport properties of refrigerant mixtures are discussed in terms of availability of experimental data and reliability and accuracy of prediction methods.
