Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The paper presents all aspects of natural substitutes for HFC refrigerants, which are: ammonia, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, water and air. New processes for refrigeration are also described: absorption, desiccant cooling, evaporative cooling, Stirling cycle and thermoelectricity. General properties concerning environmental issues are discussed. A list of experts or organizations involved in this work is given.
