New in the Encyclopedia: updated GWP values for HFCs

Find all the GWP values over 100 years and 20 years for hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.

The IIR is pursuing its mission to disseminate and popularise knowledge about refrigeration and sustainable development by posting a new article on its website.

Based on the latest updated data from UNEP's RTOC 2022 report, to which the IIR contributed as a reviewer, the article provides a brief definition and contextualisation of global warming potential (GWP) before presenting a summary table.

The table gives 100-year and 20-year GWP values for HFC refrigerants, including both pure HFCs and blends containing at least one HFC in their composition.
