Accepted rules and setting up of refrigerated plant, with particular emphasis on increased use of ammonia.

Køleanlaegs forhold til øvrige områder i den europaeiske udvikling. Regler for godkendelse og indretning af køleanlaeg, specielt med henblik på større anvendelse af ammoniak.

Summary

The author explains the complicated way to obtain a CE-mark for a compressor as part of a refrigeration installation following Danish and European rules indicating that rules in the country where it should be installed also must apply. New rules in this field are under negotiation. In the second part of the article the author notes that due to the new refrigerant characteristics, the retrofitting of refrigerating plants from "freon" to ammonia, will often demand new installation approval. He underlines the need for common standard rules and discusses classification proposals concerning refrigeration installations.
