How far are we in CFCs elimination?
Où en est-on dans l'élimination des CFC ?
Type of article: Article
Summary
The situation of the different fluids up to now is established: CFC, HCFC, HFC. Advances and new assurances since March 93 are presented: R22 remains available for 10 years; R404a can replace R502 and become available; some transition fluids HCFC are available and can replace R12 and R502 under certain conditions. Charts look at possible solutions for new and existing installations; in the latter case, after having checked the waterproofness and the availability of the fluid, we can only consider the conversion after a thorough examination. Advice is given on how to find the most adapted solution. J.L.
