Blowing agents: the next generation.
Author(s) : DECAIRE B. R., PHAM H. T., RICHARD R. G., SHANKLAND I. R.
Summary
The limited survivors screened from a three and four carbon HFC analysis by Allied Signal (i.e. R245ca, R245eb, R245fa, and R356) all have the same long and short term situations. The R245 isomers are further behind in toxicity testing than HFC356. If GWP issues force the high-GWP HFC chemicals out of the market, the HFC245 chemicals may gain acceptance for future research.
