The paper presents and discusses a comparative study between the thermodynamic characteristics of R134a and those of R12 and R22 mainly in the form of curves expressing the variation related to the evaporating temperature, the comparison of various characteristics, and showing relative performance (cooling capacity, volumetric efficiency, power absorbed, discharge temperature etc).
