Summary

The effects of temperature (3, 4 or 5 °C) and RH (97 or 90%) on the maintenance on quality and incidence of rot in Montenegrina tangerines (mandarins) during cold storage for 4 weeks were investigated. After storage, fruits were held for 5 days at 20 °C. After cold storage, fruits stored at 4 and 5 days and 97% RH had higher titratable acidities, but this behaviour was not observed after 5 days at 20 °C. No differences between treatments were observed for TSS and rot incidence. No physiological disorders or off flavours were observed.
