BINARY MIXTURES, FOR USE IN VAPOUR ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, INCLUDING AMMONIA-ORGANIC SOLVENTS, AMMONIA-WATER, AMMONIA-SODIUM THIOCYANATE, SULPHUR DIOXIDE-ORGANIC SOLVENTS, R21-ORGANIC SOLVENTS AND R22-ORGANIC SOLVENTS, HAVE BEEN COMPARED ON THE BASIS OF COP, RATIO OF MASS FLOW OF REFRIGERANT TO STRONG SOLUTION. THESE MIXTURES ARE SUITABLE WHERE LOW GRADE THERMAL ENERGY SUCH AS SOLAR AND WASTE HEAT IS AVAILABLE BETWEEN 373 AND 393 K (100 AND 120 DEG C).
