Computerised electrical simulation of freezing processes.

Summary

A new method for simulation of freezing processes by computerised electrical analogy is described. Before each run, this technique calculates the thermal resistances and capacities of all elements with reference to previously-determined local temperatures and replaces them with the corresponding electrical magnitudes. The method is applicable in the following cases: freezing of orange juice microdrops; eutectic plates for shipment of chilled fish; and freezing of beef in plate freezers.
