Summary

THIS FILM, COVERING CHICKEN SKIN, IS PRODUCED DURING THE IMMERSION OF CARCASES IN WATER. IT IS MADE UP OF PROTEINS, AMINO-ACIDS AND SOLUBLE COMPONENTS AND PROMOTES BACTERIAL GROWTH. THE RESULTS OF THE MICROSCOPIC ANALYSIS SHOW THAT THESE BACTERIA GROW PREFERENTLY IN MICROPITS ON THE SKIN SURFACE THESE PITS MAY BE DUE TO THE PROCESSING MODE OF THE SAMPLE. (Bibliogr. int.
