Summary

EXPERIMENTS WERE MADE TO DETERMINE THE PROTECTIVE ACTION OF DIFFERENT CRYOPROTECTIVE MEDIA WHEN FREEZE-DRYING YEAST STRAINS OF THE SPECIES SACCHAROMYCES UVARUM. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF PRESERVATION OF THESE YEAST STRAINS WAS BY USING THE FREEZE-DRIED MEDIUM SUCROSE 10% + GELATIN 1.5% + SKIM MILK.
