Summary
Recently, microwaveable frozen foods have increased rapidly in Japanese retail market. Especially, microwaveable fried frozen foods, that have succeeded in removing the weak point of microwave oven, are very much appreciated. The diffusion rate of microwave oven in Japan is very high, convenience-oriented consumers are increasing, and some frozen food manufacturers have developed new technology. So the future of microwaveable frozen food is hopeful, on condition that low quality products are not introduced on the market.
