Summary
IT WAS FOUND THAT MOST OF THE USUAL REFRIGERANT-MACHINE OILS DO NOT GO WITH THE NEW REFRIGERANTS. IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT MINERAL OILS AND ALKYLBENZENE HAVE A POOR SOLUBILITY WITH CHLORINE-FREE REFRIGERANTS. ONE SOLUTION COULD BE ESTER OIL, WHICH HAS SUFFICIENT MISCIBILITY. LITTLE IS KNOWN, HOWEVER, OF ITS STABILITY OR ITS EFFECT ON EQUIPMENT.
