Summary

Study of the frequency of contamination by L. monocytogenes of 263 samples of various species of vegetable stored at 4 deg C. In vegetable juices, the growth of Listeria depends on pH. No difference in the behaviour is noted among the strains isolated from vegetables, vegetable juices and a soft cheese (Vacherin Mont d'or).
