Refrigerant fluids: development trends.
Fluides frigorigènes, tendances du développement.
Author(s) : TSVETKOV O. B.
Summary
The drawbacks of refrigerant fluids from an environmental viewpoint are described, as are resolutions adopted worldwide concerning phase-out. The properties of various fluids and their impact on ozone depletion and global warming are described. The benefits of using fluids known as natural fluids (CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons) and mixtures of these (CO2 and hydrocarbons) are emphasized. A table summarizes the characteristics of various fluids with respect to the environment.
