Technology on controlled freezing point storage of fruits and vegetables by naturally frozen ice.
Author(s) : LI L. T.
Summary
The freezing points and the effect on controlled freezing point storage of green asparagus, netted melon and strawberry are presented. In contrast to normal cool storage where the temperature is above 0 deg C, the freshness preservation period of some fruit and vegetables can be extended by 1.5-2 times by using the controlled freezing point storage method. This method is however difficult to use with normal mechanical refrigeration facilities. Modern technology naturally frozen ice to preserve fruit and vegetables provided a practical method of producing controlled freezing point storage.
