THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOPPED AND FILLED PRODUCTS REACHED 8% IN VOLUME IN 1985. PANCAKES AND PIZZAS, LEADERS ON THE MARKET, ARE FALLING OFF SOMEWHAT, SUCH THAT MANUFACTURERS ARE ATTEMPTING TO HALT THIS TREND BY RENEWING AND ENRICHING THEIR LINES OF PRODUCTS. BESIDES QUICHES, SALTED TARTS ARE DIVERSIFYING AND DEVELOPING IN FAMILY OR INDIVIDUAL PORTIONS. MEAT PIES AND PUFF PASTRY ARE STAGNANT, EXCEPT FOR SNACKS. WITH ALL THESE PRODUCTS, MANUFACTURERS ARE ATTEMPTING TO WORK THEIR WAY INTO THE FAST FOOD MARKET. J.L.
