IIR document

A quasi-steady state approach to the design of meat plant refrigeration systems.

Summary

Refrigeration requirements, compressor power and energy consumption are calculated by computer. The simulation program permits a rapid evaluation of heat load variations arising from changes in slaughterhouse operation. Some examples are given (the change from cold boning to hot boning, special treatment of lamb). Simulation results are compared with measurements.
