Summary

ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES OF ICE CREAM SHOWED THAT THE METHYLENE BLUE REDUCTION TEST CLASSIFIED ALL SAMPLES AS UNSATISFACTORY. ENTEROBACTER AEROGENES WAS ISOLATED FROM 38% OF SAMPLES, E. LIQUEFACIENS FROM 30%, ESCHERICHIA COLI FROM 22% AND CITROBACTER SPP 11%. THE PUBLIC HEALTH IMPORTANCE OF THESE FINDINGS IS DISCUSSED. (DAIRY SCI. ABSTR., GB., 44, N.7, 1982/07, 544, 4859.
