Cryogenics: recovery of CO2 at the Brossard factories.
Brossard : récupération de CO2 en cryogénie.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article describes a new method for using liquid CO2 in quick-freezing tunnels. It consists of expanding liquid CO2 in a separator, resulting in the production of carbon-dioxide snow used in the quick-freezing plant, and gaseous CO2 which is recovered and re-liquefied in a specialized packaged unit. It is thus possible to reduce by 20% overall, the usual consumption of CO2.
