Summary

The peak homogeneous nucleation temperature of the DMSO solution (45 w/w%) was observed to be 3 deg C above sub-glass transition temperature, whereas the peak homogeneous nucleation temperature of the glycerol solution (50 w/w%) was shown to be 20 deg C above sub-glass transition temperature. Further, the 50 w/w% glycerol solution was shown to devitrify at temperatures close to those of the peak nucleation rate, whereas the DMSO solution was found to devitrify at temperatures much higher than the peak nucleation temperature.
