Summary
The author discusses the practical applications of fluids known as natural working fluids which have been implemented following regulations concerning CFC and HCFC. Domestic refrigerators using isobutane, supermarket plants using ammonia and a coolant fluid, air conditioning plants in rail transport using an air cycle or CO2 and heat pumps using ammonia are reviewed.
