Author(s) : GRUDA Z.

Summary

THE FLUIDIZED BED HEIGHT HAS A MARKED EFFECT ON THE FREEZING RATE, THE POWER REQUIRED AND THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF THE FREEZING UNIT. CHARTS ARE GIVEN RELATING THE BED HEIGHT TO EACH OF THESE PARAMETERS FOR PEAS, CHERRIES, STRAWBERRIES AND APRICOTS. THE DELIVERY RATE AND STATIC PRESSURE OF FANS SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TO THE TYPE OF PRODUCT TO BE FROZEN. BED THICKNESS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 0.2 M FOR SMALL PRODUCTS. FOR LARGER PRODUCTS GREATER HEIGHTS CAN BE USED.
