Effects of processing parameters on the rate of production of freeze-dried colostrum.

Author(s) : LI Y. F., HUA T. C., XU J. J.

Summary

Freeze-drying of bovine colostrum has been investigated under the experimental design of orthogonal rotatable composite technique. The regressive models of production rate and drying time based on experimental data have been developed. The interactions among chamber pressure, product thickness and solid concentration on production rate are presented by graphical analysis. The optimal parameters for high production rate are given.
