Ethylene role in the ripening of cherimoyas (Annona cherimola, Mill.). Influence of temperature.

[In Spanish. / En espagnol.]

Summary

Correlations between maturity and ethylene during cherimoya storage at 20 and 10 deg C were examined, specifically the relationship between generated and internal ethylene. Acidity, soluble solids content, and pulp firmness were measured. There is a linear relationship between generated and internal ethylene. Comprehensive results of experiments are given. It appears that cold stress causes ethylene stimulation.
