This report comprises 3 sections: activity report of the main Food Unit of the Federal Public Health Office; enforcement at canton level of legislation on foodstuffs (extracts from official laboratory reports on: cream; sour milk and similar products; cheese; edible oils; eggs; cereals and products containing cereals; pastries and desserts; honey; fruit, vegetables and edible mushrooms; spices, condiments and vinegar; quality of drinking water; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; meat and meat products; fish and shellfish; various foodstuffs); during monitoring procedures, one often notices that thermometers in display cabinets indicate the right temperature but that the temperature of the products is different; index of the control activities of cantons' laboratories.
