IIR document

Innovative air curtain for frozen food stores.

Summary

After intensive research an air curtain has been developed that is capable, under all weather conditions, to remain transparent, prevents mist- and ice forming and minimize energy- and moisture transfer to the freezer area to a minimum. The air curtain comprises three air currents of different temperature and humidity levels which prevents condensation and neutralises natural convection. The heat loss through an open door fitted with this air curtain is between 15 and 20% of the loss without the use of the air curtain.
