Summary

This first volume of a three-volume second edition (see also this Bulletin, reference 2007-0905), gathers useful information (tables, formulae and diagrams) for air-conditioning practitioners. This first volume contains three sections: A. the common fundamentals (the technical framework: symbols, systems, shortcuts, abbreviations; the professional framework: regulations, safety, water protection, Legionella risks, energy management, economic aspects, physical framework: units and values, fluid flow, heat transfer, measures and automation). B. Environment (ambiance quality: air and the atmosphere, humidity, condensation and mould. External air and pollution, radon and ionizing radiation; acoustic constraints: noise and criteria; vibration). C. Ventilation applications (fundamentals: building air permeability, air diffusion, air ducts, filtered ventilation; ventilation networks; general ventilation; residential, office or professional ventilation, VMC, parkings; specific ventilation: kitchens, swimming pools, premises with animals, laboratories, clean rooms, hospitals and industrial ventilation; protection against fires and smoke removal systems).
