Summary

Microbiological analysis of milk samples from dairy plants in Melbourne for 5 consecutive seasons. Pseudomonas is dominant in samples stored at 4 and 7 deg C, whatever the season. Pasteurized milk prepared in summer has a better shelf life than that prepared in winter, and this effect is more pronounced with storage at 4 deg C.
